Growing TipsĀ

šŸŒ¤ļøĀ  Sansevieria are a unique plant that can handle direct sun and very minimal light - they will thrive with good lighting and they will ā€˜hang in thereā€™ in low to zero light.Ā  The Sansevieria is one of the top choices for low light areas, as they will usually survive the longest in poor conditions.Ā

šŸ Ā  Sansevieria will do best with good lighting, but they will also do well 10-15 feet away from a window.Ā  You can also place these plants in areas where there is minimal or zero lighting, they may produce smaller leaves for a short period of time but eventually will stop producing.

šŸ’¦Ā  with Sansevieria you want to be careful of over watering especially if they are in low lighting.Ā  Their thick leaves can store water that is why they can sometimes be easily over watered.Ā  Let the soil get pretty dry between waterings but only give enough water for the plant to live off of for one week rather than giving it a bunch of water and having to wait 2-3 weeks before watering again.Ā  That is how you can get into a habit of accidentally over watering.Ā  *When plants are in low light give a small amount of water because the plant wonā€™t be getting the energy to use up a lot of water.

TIP #1Ā  When watering always keep in mind the season, how much light it is receiving, and temperature of your home.Ā  You will need to adjust with regards to these environmental factors.Ā  Ā

TIP #2Ā  Use some sort of way to measure the amount of water you are giving your plant so that you know how much to increase or decrease next time if needed.

TIP #3Ā  Water your plants in place with a saucer under them.Ā  This allows your plant a chance to soak up the water.Ā  After a couple hours if there is still water in the saucer you can dump this out and this will also tell you how much water you can cut back next time.Ā

TIP #4Ā  Try to water on a weekly basis, this will help to keep you consistent and to at least check on your plants once a week.Ā
